Hello, everyone. On today's TSC meeting we had a guest, Amed Sawaf from the LFN End User Advisory Group. We discussed a community survey. At a high level, we identified some initial goals for the community survey:

Hey Casey - When can we expect an ODL TSC review/response on this survey? I think Ahmed has done a great job, and I want to publish the survey as soon as possible... (add Other to the list) If Yes: What type of SDN your operators is adopt? (add Other to the list) Is your SDN based in Open Source or Vendor commercial product? If Open Source, which SDN you deploy? If vendor product, which SDN you deploy? Which are the biggest pain points for SDN (add Other to the list) What is the most important feature you are looking from an Open source SDN Controller? Do you use SDN in DCs? If Yes: Is Separate SDN for Fabric and Overlay an acceptable solution? Do you require SDN to extend across DC’s i.e towards the Edge? hi all, few comments from me - typo - Ericsson product is called CSC (Cloud SDN Controller) what type of sdn do you use for k8s - should be broken up into the foll - 'what type of networking solution do you use with k8s' central sdn controller distributed (fully distributed cni in worker nodes) hybrid under distributed - (you could list some of the popular cni's ), check all that apply calico, flannel, cilium or similar multus, danm or similar sr-iov, ovs-cni, nsm under k8s central sdn based solution- odl, onos, tf, proprietary under hybrid - ovn contiv thanks, daya

hi ahmed, some more inputs. not sure if survey-takers will be willing/allowed to answer with specifics for proprietary controllers, so there should be a choice for 'proprietary', without mentioning actual product. some of these questions should probably have a write-in input if possible in the survey format. for example -'reason for not adopting sdn', 'pain points' , 'deployment models', should have an 'other' choice, and a box under it to type some comments explaining the 'other' option. thanks, daya
