A correction about this:

The elections for both the TAC and SPC representatives always have to be conducted, but if there are no candidates who have stepped up for these elections, then these positions default to the TSC Chair. So it is the opposite of what is stated above. 

Example: We had both the LFN TAC Representative and the LFN SPC Representative elections in 2020:

So we will need to open these positions up for nominations for 2021 as well - and if the candidate(s) for the TSC Chair are interested in these positions, they will simply self-nominate for these positions as well.
