You can contribute the patch and a committer can merge it. Even better we can nominate and start a vote for you into committer status, we've had release managers as a committer on docs in the past and you've contributed indirectly to docs so I don't think this is an unreasonable consideration.

ok we can do a wiki or we can ask Guillaume to see if he can do the code duplication. I can try to do it myself but I think it has to be done by committer
In any case, we can talk about it next year :)

I think we discussed this before, basically it is a code duplication and I am in general against duplications, especially if it is me doing the doc work.

yes the only part missing is to try Thanh's suggestion to CP stable/aluminium so master looks the same instead of a link. We can review that later since it is not urgent

In the past we maintained both the current stable/release and master branches by cherry-picking the patches across. It's easier and also when we create a new stable/release branch we wouldn't have to change the file in the stable/branch. > > Hope this helps, > Thanh > > On Tue, Dec 15, 2020 at 11:36 PM Daniel de la Rosa <ddelarosa0707@...> wrote: > Thanks Luis. i see that you changed the downloads for stable/magnesium and stable/aluminum > > but for latest, did you just put a link? > > https://docs.opendaylight.org/en/latest/downloads.html > > I think we want latest to be like stable/aluminium .. meaning a copy, not just a link.. let me add Thanh for his feedback on how this needs to be done > > thanks > > On Tue, Dec 15, 2020 at 9:21 AM Luis Gomez <ecelgp@...> wrote: > OK, the problem has auto-resolved overnight, see Magnesium SR3 release here: > > https://nexus.opendaylight.org/content/repositories/opendaylight.release/org/opendaylight/integration/opendaylight/0.12.3/ > > BR/Luis > > >> On Dec 14, 2020, at 10:33 PM, Luis Gomez via lists.opendaylight.org <ecelgp=gmail.com@...> wrote: >> >> Looks like some infra python issue is holding the release, I will check in detail tomorrow and open IT ticket if required: >> >> https://jenkins.opendaylight.org/releng/view/distribution/job/distribution-release-merge/18/console >> >> BR/Luis >> >> >> >>> On Dec 14, 2020, at 11:07 AM, Daniel de la Rosa <ddelarosa0707@...> wrote: >>> >>> Thank you for the update. @Luis Gomez and all please proceed with the distribution and approve the release notes >>> >>> We can review the update of the downloads page later..
