Hello all,

ODL maintenance window is complete. All services are back online! Thank you for your patience.

Why: ODL Services (Jenkins, Nexus) some of LVM's need to be migrated across data centers. LF will also update Gerrit to 3.3.x.

Impact: Users may be unable to access any services (Jira, Gerrit, Wiki, Jenkins, Sonar, Nexus, Sigul) during this time.

Jenkins will be put in shutdown mode before the window starts and any long-running Jenkins jobs _will_ be canceled if they don't complete before the start of the window. Notices will be posted to the mailing lists and on the LFN #opendaylight slack channel at the start and end of the maintenance.

Hi All,
Hello Brandon,

Here's the status on the ODL Twitter account.

Unfortunately, due to some staffing changes in the past we are unable to access the ODL Twitter account. (The recovery email associated with the account is not a Linux Foundation email address).
We have made multiple formal requests via Twitter Help Center to recover this data and have, so far, been unsuccessful. We just made another formal request last week and will explore other recovery options if this time is again unsuccessful.
Thanks for the update.

Hello all,

We had an internal review on the estimates, and it's been advised we require a larger window than estimated (increased by 2 hours) since we have large volumes to be taken offline and moved to newer nvme volumes.

When (updated):  11:00pm Sun, Nov 14 - 5:30am Mon, Nov 15 UTC (10:00am Mon, Nov 15 - 4:30pm Mon, Nov 15 AEDT)

Looks okay to me, I have triggered
https://jenkins.opendaylight.org/releng/job/integration-distribution-mri-test-silicon/74/
for completeness' sake.

Before the maintenance, I checked and there were still some python issues but not sure if they related to inf... I guess we have to wait one more day

ok good to know. I'll keep SR1 schedule as it is then. Please keep us posted
Kernel projects are ready, we have a few patches in bgpcep, I expect them to land today.
This bump has been completed as well on both Phosphorus and Sulfur branches, MRI projects are good to go AFAICT.

Thank you Guillaume. How does this look?

Once final, I'll add it to main navigation and we can start promoting on social/email, etc.

Best,

Thank you Brandon and Filip.

I think we should add the following line to the feature list.

"[TransportPCE] end-to-end connectivity management of high rates (400G) and otn service improvements"

Especially if the previous content in Google docs will not be reused.

About
the few sentences, here is what I propose:

"I am very happy to announce the 15th release of OpenDaylight, which is still holding a reference position in the network controllers
opensource ecosystem. This release comes with a lot of nice improvements, fruits of the hard work done over the past releases. They should please developers as well as end-users."

Hope this helps

Thank you Filip for pulling this together. It's exactly what we were looking for. Guillaume, I agree the Phosphorus release page would benefit from a quote with your perspective. In the page copy, Filip has proposed some key points that you could incorporate and put into your own words. We'd like to get the page published this week so please propose your short quote as soon as possible. If you'd like to discuss the quote, feel free to reach out. Thanks!

Best,

Brandon

Hi everyone,

I was out of office during the last call. We tried creating a spin on the release notes/announcement, which would incorporate a technical view, as well as some more easy-going and more story-telling approach to changes in the latest release.

I realize there is a Google doc available for changes, but since we overwrote most of it, here is a PDF of it attached.

Also, Guillaume as the chair could add some ca. two sentences as a direct quote about the latest release – please.

Let me know what all of you are thinking.

Re: Silicon SR3 release.... jsron rpc issues

Richard Kosegi <richard.kosegi@...>

Hi Daniel and all,

Seems like python2 related issue [1]
It might be possible to fix that by s/python/python3/g in JSONRPC keywords.
I may find some time during the weekend to look into that, but this is definitely not a problem in JSONRPC itself, but rather mock service incompatibility.

Regards,
Richard
