Functest Wallaby is out! #release #announcement

Hi,

 

I eagerly announce the release of Functest Wallaby.

 

Here is the full verification job in success, running both the classical IaaS verification and Reference Conformance suite for OpenStack (RC1):

Please note that Hunter and Iruya were closed a few days ago.

Every release from Jerma, which has been selected by Reference Architecture for OpenStack (RA1) since Baraque, are still very well maintained.

I should be noted that Functest dropped the former river logic because Anuket TSC simply broke its compatibility/meaning and hasn’t voted M-release for the last 6 months.

Be aware that Kali as voted by OPNFV TSC is about OpenStack Ussuri but Anuket Kali will be based on OpenStack Train.

 

At least, following the upstream releases should be a good choice for our endusers and will allow releasing Functest Kubernetes every 4 months as expected by Kubernetes

 

Functest Wallaby should be part of Reference Conformance suite for OpenStack (RC1) once Reference Architecture selects OpenStack Ussuri (possibly end of  this year)

Right now, the Functest CNTT containers consider any new Feature from Jerma as skipped but the test case descriptions would be updated according to any new mandatory feature in RA1 Chapter 5.

Then RC1 is already in a good shape for N+1.
