Self-managed projects (  transportpce and unimanager )

Please proceed to release your project if you are interested in being part of Aluminium release.

Also as agreed, we are strictly enforcing the one week limit that you have to complete this task

Thanks

Tejas/Prem/Allan, any plan to release odlmicro/odlsaf/plastic for Aluminum release? If so we could add some messaging in the Aluminum press release.

FYI, to release an SM project you normally have to cut stable branch + release artifacts using staging and release jobs in jenkins. See https://docs.opendaylight.org/en/stable-magnesium/release-process/managed-release.html#cut-stable-branch

Let me know if you have any question.

As you know, Plastic is technically independent of any particular ODL
release.
I don't have any bug/feature fixes that I am holding up to synchronize with
Aluminum.
For now, Plastic is being supported in an upwards compatible, single release
branch.

Odlmicro is looking to release the initial version now. It is not a karaf feature. We will share the links in this week.

Hello All,

Thanks for the touchbase on Marketing today. As mentioned, here is the link to the current Release Messaging Doc DRAFT:

Please feel free to make any additions, edits, and comments as needed by tomorrow morning Pacific Time. Note: We can continue to wordsmith any additions if needed -- the main objective is to make sure the main release elements are called out. From here, we'll develop the launch assets (webpage, blog, slide) that reflects these inputs. Thanks.

Best,

Brandon

Thanks Brandon,

I just recalled Lumina used ODL based controller in this interop effort: http://www.eantc.de/fileadmin/eantc/downloads/events/MPLS2020/EANTC-MPLSSDNNFV2020-WhitePaper.pdf (it is also mentioned in the public paper). So we could maybe add that to the Ongoing Industry Momentum section along with other success stories from other partners. Or this section could be moved to sa eparate blog as it is not totally related with Aluminum release.

Thanks for flagging Luiz. IMO, we should include this in the messaging doc (along with lighty.io). We can clarify that these are not part of Aluminium, but are recent OpenDaylight initiatives in the ecosystem.

Thank you for the great idea Luis - to mention that Lumina managed to independently test the OpenDaylight Controller in the EANTC lab, could be counted in the Industry Momentum section in my opinion.

Fine with me.

Thanks for flagging Luiz. IMO, we should include this in the messaging doc (along with lighty.io). We can clarify that these are not part of Aluminium, but are recent OpenDaylight initiatives in the ecosystem.

Note: We can continue to wordsmith any additions if needed -- the main objective is to make sure the main release elements are called out. From here, we'll develop the launch assets (webpage, blog, slide) that reflects these inputs. Thanks.
