Discussion with Steve Wallace of IU InCNTRE and Luke Fowler of the Indiana University Global Network Operations Center regarding OF testing

David Meyer <dmm@...>

As some of you may know, InCNTER and the IU Global NOC do OF testing
for the ONF and are an ONF Authorized Conformance Testing Lab. I asked
Steve and Luke if they would be interested in looking at any of the
systems testing aspects of OpenFlow for ODP. They answered that they
were very interested. , but that testing strategies would need to be
developed (the work they do for the ONF generally goes the other way,
that is, they test OF implementations on switches).

The plan moving forward it to get the right group of people together
to take the ideas to the next level to see if (a). such an engagement
makes sense, and (b). how we would implement the relationship (such as
resource requirements, interaction with the rest of the testing crew,
etc).

Luis, my idea is that you and I can drive this. Let me know your
thoughts (everyone else too) and who might be the right people to
engage and we'll set up next steps.

Thanks,
