See the attached (including my comments; search for dmm> in-line). In
particular, note the use of the name Service Abstraction Layer (or
SAL) which doesn't match the SAL as envisioned by ODP [0]. What a
"service" is depends on your perspective of course; see Section 2.4.

Please comment on sdn@... (if you have comments). In any event we
might want to discuss whether we want to "harmonize" terminology with
what's going on over in the IETF.
