TestON and OpenDaylight
Luis Gomez <luis.gomez@...>
Dear TSC members,
This is just to inform you that after ON.Lab presentation some weeks ago, we (more specific Swaraj from Integration group) contacted ON.Lab people to know more details on the tests and test framework (TestON) they have for their controller. As a result we are getting another request for participation or collaboration in OpenDaylight that I think could be beneficial for us as for what I understood from Swaraj they are very advanced in test tools and test coverage for their controller. We have not agreed on anything yet and this is just a heads-up since I think this cooperation (in case we are interested) should be handled by TSC.

That sounds great Swaraj. The documentation and demo videos have been mailed to you separately via Dropbox. Looking forward to working with you.

Sriram, Indeed it was a pleasure talking to you. I am very impressed with your passion, energy and the cool TestON infrastructure you have developed for On.Lab . I am equally exited and looking forward to a great partnership.
Thanks a lot Pankaj and Bill for introducing me to Sriram and extending your support from On.Lab. I must say, we clicked right-away and looking to contribute some cool stuff to the open source SDN community.
In the next day or two, I will schedule a few meetings where we can get together and talk about the next steps. I will invite Luis and Carol who are my other partners looking to get a SystemTest infrastructure in place for ODL.
Regards, Swaraj

sriram@... Hi Swaraj,
Thanks a lot for taking time to reach out to On.Lab, TestON and Paxterra. Paxterra and I are surely excited to get involved in the effort with OpenDaylight and with you personally.
I’m sending herewith some documentation on TestON and the demo video used in ONS 2013. (It’s just 9 MB.) I will send a separate email introducing Deepak, our engineer who will help us with any technical issues you may face. He will also load all our detailed demo videos and user manuals in a dropbox account and share them with you tomorrow. These demos will also cover our recent milestone – integration of TestON with STC.
In addition, I am also sending the VPuN paper that I co-wrote with Dr.Jon Crowcroft and Dr.Arjuna Sathiaseelan which proposes an idea to share unused bandwidths by writing intelligent application on top of SDN. You can find our paper’s listing and the presentation in the URLs given below.

Arjuna has been very eager to find support and partnerships for this project. I will write a separate email introducing him to you and On.Lab folks to see how things work out.
Please get back to me with any questions you might have. We are ready to extend full support to get this project get adopted on a bigger scale.
