Re: [controller-dev] OF13 suite stability

Hi Ed, it looks good to me. I will test it.
Once we know the time for the swap we should (I can do it) send a note to discuss list announcing the change + new semantics.

Luis,
I have pushed patches:
https://git.opendaylight.org/gerrit/#/c/7841/ (controller)
https://git.opendaylight.org/gerrit/#/c/7842/ (integration)
(marked as DO NOT MERGE (YET) )
Could you try testing with them prior to merge?
(I know we still have a few other bugs out as well, as noted here:
https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/OpenDaylight_Controller:Helium_Release_Plan#Release_Milestones ).
the sematics are *slightly* different in that
./run.sh
will use the OFplugin by default
./run.sh -of13
will use OFplugin
and
./run.sh -of10
will use the legacy plugin.

After Statistics patch introduced last week, the OF13 test suite has been really stable going from few random errors to just one single failure occurring few times. So congratulations for this.
The only test case fail I see now is AD-SAL topology missing one link so I have 2 comments:
- MD-SAL topology shows no problem so how does AD-SAL topology gets calculated in this scenario? reading MD-SAL topology or its own LLDP mechanism?
- Unfortunately I do not see this issue outside Linux Foundation infra, so it is going to be difficult to debug it
PS- Please do not forget to apply statistic patch and other stable patches to stable branch.
