Re: Updating Project Dependency Diagram

Oh I see, I misunderstood and thought you were trying to automate the project list page.

I believe Anil at one point had some code that drew the network graph of all the projects, however I'm not sure where it is. I've CC'd Anil in case he remembers.

As for the diagram, that's always been drawn by hand as long as I can remember since attempts to automate it had to consider many exceptions (such as every project depends on odlparent but so we don't need to show it in the diagram otherwise it get's ugly very quickly as every project would have a line to odlparent) but you can use the dependencies.log file from out autorelease jobs to get an idea of which projects depend on which, for example the fluorine one:

Hope this helps,
Thanh

Hi,

I am currently in progress for work on updating the project dependency diagram present hereĀ https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/Project_list

I need help regarding how the project list was being created in an automated version, so that I can create one for the current version. I am doing it manually, but it may involve mistakes. Also opting for an automatic update will make future updates more dynamic.

Thanks,
Prateek

Hi Prateek,

That page uses Mediawiki templating I'm not an expert on mediawiki myself but maybe there's some community folks who are more familiar with mediawiki. Are you trying to create a new page on the wiki similar to this one?

Thanh
