Re: [vtn-dev] Question about how to setup vtn-coodinator + multi-controller.
Hi Denghui,
Your understanding is perfectly right.
The picture in the following page does not match the boundary configuration shown in the page.

Hi Venkat
This is definitely what i need. Thanks.
One more question
Create boundary and vLink:
curl -v -X POST -H 'content-type: application/json' -H 'username: admin' -H 'password: adminpass' -H 'ipaddr:127.0.0.1' -d '{"boundary": {"boundary_id": "b5", "link": {"controller1_id": "controller1", "domain1_id": "(DEFAULT)", "logical_port1_id": "PP-0A:00:00:00:00:00:00:02-s2-eth1",
"controller2_id": "controller2", "domain2_id": "(DEFAULT)", "logical_port2_id": "PP-0A:00:00:00:00:00:00:03-s2-eth2"}}}'
http://127.0.0.1:8081/vtn-webapi/boundaries.json
From my understanding, boundary is the channel between two controllers, there are two logical ports, and those values are PP-0A:00:00:00:00:00:00:03-s2-eth2 and PP-0A:00:00:00:00:00:00:02-s2-eth1, my questions is against those two logical values, from that picture, we can see the boundary is based on connection between sw6 of controller1 and sw5 of controller2. so those logical port values confuse me, those should separately represent sw2, sw3.

Subject: [integration-dev] Question about how to setup vtn-coodinator + multi-controller.
Hi
I read this wiki Installation:VTN_Manager, about section Multiple Clusters of Controllers.
also read Demo 3: Layer 2 network across two controllers from NEC_VTN_Demo_0606.pdf
I still have two questions in my mind.
1. I know VTN coordinator talk to controller by VTN manager northbound API, so precondition is coordinator need to know where controller is. Question is how?
2. where i can find a guide on configuring VTN through coordinator?
Thanks.
