sdninterfaceapp(ODL-SDNi) project proposal for Lithium Release-offset1

Rafat Jahan <rafat.jahan@...>

Dear All,

sdninterfaceapp project would like be a part of offset 1 Lithium release since our dependencies are only on controller and yang tools.
We have created a project release plan accordingly.https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/ODL-SDNi_App:Lithium_Release_Plan

Please let me know if there is anything else we need to do for sdninterfaceapp to be a part of Lithium Release. We are going through the link:  https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/Simultaneous_Release:Lithium_Release_Plan

During the Lithium code sprint we plan to complete the Phase 2 of Project scope which will be Quality Of Service Data. There will be some major structure refactoring, to reduce complexity and improve readability of the code. The RestAPI developed will undergo design change to make the API more robust in the data identification. The bugs identified in Helium will be updated with Lithium Release since they may require major anticipated code change.

Looking forward to your support and guidance.

Hi George,

Please find the contacts below.I will update this in the Release plan also.

Test Contact (email/IRC): Sushma Chakilela (sushma.chakilela@...)
Project Contact(email/IRC): Kiran Kotaru (kotaru.kiran@...)

We need a small clarification on Project Lead selection. Please correct me if I have misunderstood.
As per my understanding, the Project Lead will be elected and will be one from our end.For Helium, there was only one committer from our project which will increase for Lithium releases. Does that mean the Project Lead can be any one of the two ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
does this mean that SDNi project will not be using BGPCEP project anymore?
We are claiming to be offset 1, but if the above is true, we switch to offset 2 (which means no project is dependent on us).

Dana

Hi Dana,

We do not see any further dependency on BGPCEP project as of now.
But will request that BGPCEP remains as a part of offset 1 release in order to avoid any unforeseen issues.

Thanks Rafat,

Yes, project lead role is selected by vote from committers in the project.  If your project only have one committer, then he/she will automatically be in the project lead role. We only need that in M1 milestone not immediately.

SDNi is an existing project.

Please verify with Colin, I thought existing projects should submit to release mailing list instead of proposal to indicate intention to participate Lithium SR with M1 information:

1)      Offset

2)      Project Lead, Project Contact, Test Contact

3)      Published release plan

Thanks,

George is right. Existing projects should e-mail the release list (release@...) with the George listed. Existing projects DO NOT need to have another creation review to participate.

Thanks Rafat,

Yes, project lead role is selected by vote from committers in the project.  If your project only have one committer, then he/she will automatically be in the project lead role. We only need that in M1 milestone not immediately.

Hi George,

Please find the contacts below.I will update this in the Release plan also.

Test Contact (email/IRC): Sushma Chakilela (sushma.chakilela@...)

Project Contact(email/IRC): Kiran Kotaru
(kotaru.kiran@...)

Thanks in advance.

sdninterfaceapp(ODL-SDNi) project proposal for Lithium Release-offset1

Dear All,

sdninterfaceapp project would like be a part of offset 1 Lithium release since our dependencies are only on controller and yang tools.

We have created a project release plan accordingly.
https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/ODL-SDNi_App:Lithium_Release_Plan

Please let me know if there is anything else we need to do for sdninterfaceapp to be a part of Lithium Release. We are going through the link:
https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/Simultaneous_Release:Lithium_Release_Plan

During the Lithium code sprint we plan to complete the Phase 2 of Project scope which will be Quality Of Service Data. There will be some major structure refactoring, to reduce complexity and improve readability of the code. The RestAPI developed will undergo design change to make the API more robust in the data identification. The bugs identified in Helium will be updated with Lithium Release since they may require major anticipated code change.

Looking forward to your support and guidance.

George is right. Existing projects should e-mail the release list (
release@...) with the George listed. Existing projects
DO NOT need to have another creation review to participate.

Please verify with Colin, I thought existing projects should submit to

participate Lithium SR with M1 information:

1) Offset

2) Project Lead, Project Contact, Test Contact

3) Published release plan
