Hi Andrew McLachlan and KAFKAPRODUCER Team,

Congratulations on your project being accepted as an incubation project. As release manager of OpenDaylight, I would like to welcome you and your team to the OpenDaylight community. If there is anything I can do to help you and your team, please do not hesitate to ask. At this time, please consider the following:

* Create a project main wiki page [1].
* Decide if your project intends to participate in the Boron Simultaneous Release [3].
* Complete IPR Review for any incoming code [4].
* Accept/Decline Onboarding Interview [5].

We conduct an Onboarding Interview to introduce new projects to the OpenDaylight Release and Development Process. The Onboarding interview provides your team with na opportunity to ask questions and connect with community resources in OpenDaylight. Please let us know if you are interested and what times works best for your schedule [5] in Pacific Time Zone (San Francisco).

We are delighted to have you join the OpenDaylight community and look forward to working with your team.

Best Regards,
An Ho

Hi An Ho,

Many thanks for your updates. Unfortunately Andrew has left Cisco, who
was responsible for moving kafka-producer plugin towards open source.
Therefore there are some communication gaps here. It would be good to join
the on boarding interview to elaborate details on release and development
process.

Regarding to [1], I think Andrew has created a wiki page (not sure
though). I cannot check it as don¹t have access (or forgot access
details). Could you please refer me to someone can help?

As for [5], I¹ve updated the spreadsheet with my availability -
basically those proposed dates are fine with me as long as it takes place
at 8:00 am or 9:00 am (Pacific Time). Otherwise it would be too late for
UK time ;-)

Regards,

Willis

Thank you for your interests in the Onboarding Interview. I have scheduled a meeting for 4/5/2016 at 8:00AM Pacific Time Zone (San Francisco). I reviewed our project list and did not find a KAFKAPRODUCER Project Facts Main Wiki Page. At the onboarding interview, we can discuss how to get access and how to create a project facts page. I look forward to discussing the project with you.

Best Regards,
An Ho

Hi An Ho,

Invitation accepted. Thanks. I’ve successfully recovered my access to
Main wiki page. Yes, we can go through how to create a project facts page
during the meeting ;-)

Willis
