Dove-Controller connection problem

Hello,


I am trying to do as this example:
https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/Open_Dove:Zero_Day_Tasks

I have a problem when I use   
  ./dove-controller ptcp: -d 192.168.56.101

I got error :

Error get DCS leader status: 1
dove-controller: Can not retrieve DCS address
2014-06-25T14:14:25Z|00001|socket_util|ERR|6633: bind: Address already in use
2014-06-25T14:14:25Z|00002|controller|ERR|ptcp:: connect: Address already in use
dove-controller: no active or passive switch connections


So How Could I solve the problem ?


How I can add switches and their connections also ?

Three questions and one answer:

1. When you ran the through the steps in https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/Open_Dove:Running_Components did you specify the oDMC address when setting up the OVS Agent?
2. Did you run through all of the tasks in https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/Open_Dove:Zero_Day_Tasks in order?  Without having an oDCS running and registered with the oDMC, the ovs-agent won't start.

The OVS-agent will self register with the oDMC so it will be added once it successfully starts.  What do you mean by "adding connections?"

Hi Ryan,

Thank you for your fast reply.

Yes I have configured oDCS with oDMC address but I have also a problem with OVS agent ,
when I try to run this command:

 $ sudo ./setup-dove.sh <loacl_ip> <dmc_ip>


There is no response from the terminal.

I mean by adding switches and connections, that How I can add a switch and connect them to the controller: because in the error appears : dove-controller: no active or passive switch connections
