Dear experts , Can we generate encoders and decoders using yang for bit orientated protocols . Does openflow uses generated protocol encoders and decoders ? [ I saw some yang statements with position:x in opneflow-protocol.yang file ]
Yes, there is no problem modeling any protocol in YANG. The use of explicit bit type is discouraged, though -- it is better to model each bit as a separate leaf.
