question on separate client interfaces for separate ovsdb servers

hi all,
i have a question on whether ovsdb today supports different local client IPs for different ovsdb server connections.

while the local IP and port info are in the ovsdb.yang file, a brief look at the code shows this snippet in OvsdbConnectionManager.java

private void putConnectionInstance(ConnectionInfo key,OvsdbConnectionInstance instance) {
        ConnectionInfo connectionInfo = SouthboundMapper.suppressLocalIpPort(key);
        clients.put(connectionInfo, instance);
    }

are we always supressing the local IP and port before storing the connection in the datastore?
