there seems to be a bug in ovsdb [1] where the patch port netvirt automatically creates between br-int and an external bridge defined in a provider_mapping is created and then subsequently deleted by ovsdb. This means that (a) connectivity to external nets fails and (b) netvirt enters a loop where it repeatedly tries to create the patch port.
