Spectrometer Project Coming to a Close

Thomas Nadeau

The LF/ODL organization has decided to go with a different form of data visualization from biterg as you can see below as is used by opnfv. I literally found out about this today on a random call with Casey related to our intern situation. As you might imagine, I am not too happy about this, but there is really nothing we can do at this point.

What this all means is that Spectrometer as a project is likely closed at this point unless you guys want to work on biterg’s dashboards/etc… which probably do not need a dedicated project structure like we have for Spectrometer.

I am going to cancel the meeting series and we can discuss anything related either on the IRC channel/email/or schedule an ad hoc meeting.

I wanted to thank everyone for their hard work and persistence on this project. It was really fun and informative working with you all on this, and I hope we can continue working together on other stuff in the future.

Cheers,

—Tom

Thanks Tom,

I was sad to hear about this development as well as I think Spectrometer is a really cool project. I plan to continue using Spectrometer to generate the release reports but considering Bitergia is being deployed I likely won't be spending much more time adding new features to Spectrometer.

Thanks everyone who contributed to the project, it's been fun!

Regards,
Thanh
