[OpenDaylight TSC] [release] Stepping down as Sxp PTL

Abhijit Kumbhare <abhijitkoss@...>

As Thanh mentioned - apologies that Michal Rehak's initial email did not get the response when it was sent when there was no TSC chair. Also I believe the TSC (including me) assumed you had already assumed the PTL role. Also as Thanh mentioned there is no formal process for the PTL selection - and is project dependent. As part of the OpenFlow Plugin project - I had set up the following project policy where we had established a PTL election process. You can check it out for reference here if you are interested: https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/OpenDaylight_OpenFlow_Plugin:Project_Policy

Hi Martin,

Apologies for your initial email that did not get a response.

There's no formal process for PTLs, the only formal process is to promote new committers. We do encourage projects to hold a PTL nomination within their projects and update the wiki page so that the release team knows who to contact.

Hope this helps,
Thanh

Hi all,

It has been 4 months already, with not much of a response on this. The TSC wiki [1] does not provide information about the PTL step down process. Are we required to hold a PTL election with traditional nomination phase? Or is the previous PTL able to hand down the role to another committer?
Thanks,

Martin

Hello all,
I would like to announce that my affiliation with Pantheon Technologies ended. Therefore I would like to step down as Sxp PTL and hand this position over to Martin Dindoffer who knows the project the most. I am sorry for any inconvenience.

I will be still around for some time as a sxp committer.

Regards,
Michal

OK then,

Due to inactivity of other committers I'm taking on the PTL responsibilities and updated the wiki.
Thanks for clearing this out.

Martin
