The features you are asking about are not available yet in TTPs, as I mentioned.  If you don’t yet need TTPs, I must again encourage  you to contact the OpenFlow plug-in list:

You should also check out the OpenFlow plugin wiki pages.  I found this, which suggests that meters are supported.

  I would like to know whether I can configure group table, meter table on openflow switch using ODL. The question arise as I don't see any group table/ meter table option in ODL Hydrogen. So, how we can configure them on the switch using ODL. If any of the ODL have these supports, could you please point it out?

 

Also, Openflow specfication supports more instruction and actions. I dont see them in ODL. are they be available in any of ODL?

This response is similar to my response to your other email.  I’m duplicating some of the response so that the email archive has the content in both threads.

 

We are still building TTP support in ODL.  Very limited TTP utility support is in Lithium (no support for production OpenFlow control using TTP).  We have not yet settled what functionality will be targeted for the Berrylium release, but it is possible that production OpenFlow control via TTPs will be supported in that release.  It’s too soon to say anything about the details, but meter and group support must be part of TTP support.

 

If your question is about TTP support for group and meter tables, then the answer is the same as I mentioned earlier.  If you are asking about meter/group support in non-TTP OpenFlow support, I think group and meter support is already in the OpenFlow driver, but I’m not the expert on that.  So if you want to know about non-TTP support for those features, I recommend that you check on the OpenFlow mailing list.

   Excuse me for posting a query into multiple alias. Since I don't know which is the right forum, posting the question into many forums. If anyone of you feel that I have not included right alias into this mail, please feel free to include the alias.

1) As you all know that most of the vendors started to use OFDPA in their hardware. In OFDPA, the hardware supports multiple flow tables on the data plane. Application can independently configure flow entry in any of the ofdpa supported flow table. In Hydrogen ODL, I could see that flow entry only can be created; it doesn't support anything about group table and all.

 

1) My question is, which release of ODL can support Group table & Meter table creation ?

 

2) Which release of ODL will support all Openflow 1.3.1 supported actions ?

 

3) Any ODL supports TTP (Table Type Pattern) as well ?

 

4) will it supports "Openflow specified Instruction" as well ?

 

Could you please clarify me.
